Salmon Pasta Salad

Tender macaroni is tossed with our flaky ASC-Certified Atlantic salmon, sweet peas, and tangy capers in a light, creamy dressing that comes together in just 15 minutes. Whether you're making it ahead for meal prep or serving it at your next picnic, this simple recipe is guaranteed to become a favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of macaroni pasta

  • 4 - 6 oz of Shelf Stable Atlantic Salmon Flakes

  • 2 cups of cooked peas (cold)

  • 5 stalks of Celery (grated)

  • 1 cup of low fat mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons of capers

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe (Cook time 15 minutes):

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. add a pinch of salt.

  2. Add 2 cups of peas to the boiling water, cook until soft.

  3. Strain the peas and transfer them into a bowl of ice water.

  4. In another pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil, heavily salt your water and add a tablespoon of olive oil to prevent the pasta from sticking.

  5. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes or until the pasta is al dente.

  6. Strain the pasta and transfer it to a large mixing bowl.

  7. Finely grate 5 stalks of celery into the mixing bowl. Then add the mayonnaise, Shelf Stable Atlantic Salmon Flakes, capers, and the speas.

  8. Gently mix all of the ingredients together until all ingredients are well incorporated. Add salt and pepper to taste after mixing.
